Mathematics

Maths is taught using a Mastery Approach where children are not just expected to ‘know’ how to do something but also understand the mathematical concepts that underpin this. This then allows the children to apply their knowledge across multiple contexts and make links between mathematical ideas. This is vital for a true grasp of the subject. Our Maths curriculum is based on the Long Term Plan set out by White Rose Maths, who have broken down The National Curriculum into small steps to ensure progression and depth of understanding.
