Attendance
We place high importance on school attendance. It is as important to children from a welfare
perspective as it is an educational one. As a school, we aim for a minimum target of 97% across the
school year. Anything below 90% is regarded as a cause for concern and is the equivalent of missing
one day in every 10, or one day every two weeks. This is a significant amount of lost learning time.
Please ensure your child is in school and on time. If you require any support with this then please
contact the school and we will do all we can to help.
Please read our Attendance Policy for more information about the importance we place on regular
school attendance and punctuality. We follow the guidelines from Bury Council and do not authorise
any holidays taken during term time.
