Greenhill Primary School has its own distinctive uniform. There are good reasons for this, the most important being that a uniform helps to create a sense of community and is suitable for such a working environment. It can help to instil pride and support positive behaviour and discipline. It is also of considerable benefit for security reasons that students should wear school uniform. A school uniform removes distraction and avoids discrimination that may be caused by an individual’s style of dress, and allows students to concentrate on learning. We have kept our uniform smart but simple and is seen as a set of work clothes for work. Unless otherwise stated, all items of uniform may be worn by both boys and girls. You can download a copy of our policy using the link at the bottom of this page.

Identification and Ownership
The school stresses that it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that all items of clothing, including footwear are clearly marked with the name of the child or the family name. This assists the school in identification of any lost or misplaced items and allows the school to prove ownership.
The school carries out periodic uniform checks and reserves the right to label any unnamed items to prevent loss.
For the purpose of this Policy unnamed or lost items are deemed not to be the responsibility of the school and unclaimed or unnamed items are collected by the FROGS for sale on the school uniform stall.
