Here’s some useful information:
P.E. will continue to be on Thursday afternoons.
Reading – please continue to encourage your child to read for pleasure as part of our ‘Remarkable Reader’ reward scheme.
Spellings – we will have a test each Monday afternoon and new spellings will be sent home later that day.

This half term we will continue with our ‘Power Of Reading’ work on ‘The Iron Man’ by Ted Hughes.
All of our English work will be based around themes related to this book.
Reading, Grammar and Handwriting will also be taught on a regular basis.
Our topics for this half term in Mathematics are:
Number – Fractions.
Measurement – Time.
Learning across the curriculum:
Our topic for this half term is called ‘What the Romans did for us’. This topic focusses on what life was like in Roman Britain. We will also use this to help the children learn more about the Geography of the British Isles.
If you have any questions or worries about our work or class routines, please don’t be afraid to ask.
